The Great Downwinder (TGDW) will be starting on the Gold Coast at Southport on January 1 2006.

It will be traveling a set route comprising of a number of sections. If there is no wind on a particular day then we will move onto the next section the next day.

If the wind is blowing SE rather than NE then we will kite the section in reverse or have a day kiting in one spot.

The itinerary (subject to change) is below.

The locations are the areas we will be kiting in, not an indication of the whole segment of the trip, as the actual daily downwind kite will be determined by the direction and strength of the wind.
